Patented QuickLock® Release 4 (QLR4) Weight Integration System
The OceanPro may be purchased with or without Oceanic’s patented QLR4 Quick Lock & Release System. If you choose not to buy them with your BC, you will have two additional storage pockets and may add the QLR4 Weight Pockets at any time. Your weights stay in position throughout the dive and do not shift around affecting buoyancy or position in the water. The weight pouches are simple to load and easy to release. Best of all, our patented “positive-lock” system helps to ensure that they’ll stay put.
Fadeless 1000 Denier Ballistic Nylon Construction
The OceanPro exterior abrasion points and air cell are welded from a fadeless 1000 denier nylon – tough stuff that will hold up to years of extreme diving and keep that “new look” longer.
Reliant Integrated Inflator
Ergonomically designed to be functional and easy to use in any dive position, the Reliant Integrated Inflator provides a full range of airway exhaust/inflation control. Simply press a button to produce precise flow for trimming dive attitude or maximum flow for major changes in buoyancy. A large exhaust valve creates a flow rate higher than the inflation rate of the power inflator, improving diver control during ascents.
Adjustable Cummerbund
Oceanic’s cummerbund offers up to 8″ of adjustment to fit a wide range of sizes. For additional customization, the cummerbund may be easily changed with another size.
Padded Backpack
Extra heavy duty padding provides comfort both above and below the surface without having to sacrifice the stability of a hard backpack.
Large Main Pockets
Enough room to store your OceanPro 1000D Light, extra Shadow Mask, Pocket Snorkel, or P.S.D.
Optional Air XS 2 Alternate Inflator
The AIR XS 2 combines the reliability, performance and durability of the SlimLine Octopus and Reliant Inflator into one very low profile, streamlined package. The regulator/inflator combination is as small as many BC inflators alone, with breathing performance superior to many stand-alone octopus regulators.
The AIR XS 2 can be added to any existing Oceanic BC or may be purchased already installed on a new Oceanic BC for additional savings.

Good Bcd as used by and recommended by my dive school instructors and now me.

My wife and I are both new divers and have this BCD with the integrated weights. I feel it is good for a new diver, but is not as refined as some of the more expensive Oceanic BCDs. One plus over many more expensive BCDs is the very large pockets on each side. The single tank belt is an older generation plastic/velcro belt and could be better.
Overall its a very good BCD, but we already see outgrowing it.
OceanDiver –
I’ve been using the OceanPro BCD as rental gear for 8 years. Our gear dives every day and our OceanPro BCDs have stood up to heavy use with no problems. The only way these things have come out of service is when someone accidentally handles them round sharp objects and they get a tear. They are so good I’ve started using one as my personal BCD now the Probe is no longer available.

See what DIVEIN likes about the OceanPro BC:
“Great Mid-Range BC
Things we like:
• Highly durable and can take a beating
• The padding around the shoulders is comfortable
• Adjustable cummerbund so the BCD should still fit you should you lose of gain a little weight
• LPI feels comfortable in the hand and the inflate and deflate buttons perform well underwater
• LPI dump valve operates by pulling the LPI down (perfect for lazy dive instructors!)
• Trim weight pockets
• Integrated weights, which is unusual on an entry-level BCD
• Classic jacket style for recreational diving”
